US Open in Pictures: Friday, August 30 (Gojowczyk vs Donskoy, del Potro vs Hewitt)

Our first session on Arthur Ashe Stadium turned out to be quite an experience as we got to experience a 5-set match under the lights (Lleyton Hewitt upset Juan Martin del Potro 6-4 5-7 3-6 7-6(2) 6-1).

Just prior to that we accidentally found ourselves in the stands of Court 7 where Evgeny Donskoy was on his way to defeating Peter Gojowczyk, also in 5 sets (6-4 5-7 3-6 7-6(2) 6-1). Donskoy has the type of game we enjoy a lot but more on it in a separate blog entry later this month.
