As our friends at
Toronto Trends informed earlier this month, the
Toronto Premium Outlets,
GTA's new luxury-for-less destination, opened its doors to the public
on August 1. After my unsucessful attempt to attend the grand opening
(read: spending 2 hours to get there just to find no parking spots
available), I decided to get it another shot earlier today.
Understandably, the traffic issues were gone but finding a convenient
parking space still remains an issue.
The store themselves offer some excellent discounts although inventory in some of the most sought-after stores like
adidas and
Nike
leaves a lot to be desired. The stores are small and the choice of
styles extremely limited. If you, like me, are a tennis player, don't
count on finding any tennis apparel in any of the aforementioned stores
(unless you count one style of Barricades - team version - from a number
of seasons back). Disappointing for a store with huge Andy Murray and
Caroline Wozniacki banners over the shoe section.
Fortunately, the
Lacoste Outlet should be joining the line-up of stores soon. Hopefully their product availability will be kinder to the Toronto-area tennis players.
Here are a few visuals. More after the jump.
