The ATP is back in Toronto as the qualifying round of the Rogers Cup kicked off at York University's Rexall Centre.
The big draw board now features both Toronto and Montreal latddters with super-sized photos of last year's champions, Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams.

The Canadian Champions Grandstand (this year bearing Milos Raonic's name) has also been glammed up in a big way. Now it has it's own announcer, music during changeovers and a covered lounge/bar area atop the North stand. Also, the court now features the Hawkeye review system. Two thumbs up for the new and much improved Grandstand experience.

It's a shame the Rogers Cup fans won't get to see all of the big names (Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal come to mind) this year but in a long run that should perhaps for a more exciting event. So, welcome to Toronto all of you who cared to show up. Make it a good one!
