ATP just announced Novak Djokovic will finish as the No. 1 player in the year-end South African Airways 2011 ATP Rankings and will be officially crowned at a special trophy presentation at the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London. Nole, the first Serbian man to do so, became #1 on July 4 when he advanced to the Wimbledon Final, beating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and eventually clinching his dream title with a win over Rafa Nadal two days later.  With his fagnificent 64-3 record this season, he has won a record-breaking number of five ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles in one season (in Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, Rome and Montreal) as well as ATP500 in Dubai and ATP250 in Belgrade. Check out this video of Rafa Nadal and Dickie Gasket Richard Gasquet battling it out around the age of 12. Interesting to see Richard's forehand has always been freaky looking and Rafa didn't seem to have the wedgie problem back them. Some things never change, and some things do... Since, unfortunately, I thought this year's men's tennis fashions placed somewhere between uninspiring and boring, just top 3 of my favourites. Honestly, couldn't come up with 5 outfits I liked all year. Sorry, ATPers, you can't be best at everything! 3. Any tennis nerds fans excited already! I know I am!

So it happened, Daniel Nestor has been introduced to Canada's Walk of Fame . Congratulations, well deserved. Always feels great to see a tennis player, and even more so - a doubles specialist, get some mainstream recognition. Next time I'm downtown I'll make sure to snap a pic of Daniel's star that can be found near King and Simcoe . Stay tuned. Also, make sure to stop by yourself if you're in the area. Nole, who was forced to withdraw from Beijing and is doubtful for Shanghai due to that pesky back injury, was in Belgrade this weekend, his brothers in tow, cheering the Serbian Women's Volleyball Team to the European title (defeated Germany in today's final).
