Maria Sharapova was a busy girl during the New York Fashion Week . She attended the Phillip Lim for Target runway show, 10th annual Style Awards, joined Ana Wintour and Alicia Keys and Jessica Pare at the Jason Wu show and attended a Porsche Party . Interesting how Maria mixed up her looks during the Fashion Week. From a chic in a navy skater skirt from the Phillip Lim for Target collection, matching sweater and white court shoes at the Lim show to a long-sleeved, black A-line frock dress featuring sheer, floral lace around the neckline at the Wu event and a simple, chic little black dress at the Porsche event. Calling all Toronto-area tennis fans. adidas Canada is having a Tent Sale at their headquarters in Woodbridge, Ontario (8100 Highway 27). The Sale starts today, September 10, and will last through Sunday, September 15. Other featured brands will include Reebok , TaylorMade and Rockport . No word on whether any on-court tennis apparel will be available but the sale might be worth a try.

Novak Djokovic Foundation held it's 2nd annual fundraising Gala at Capitale in New York City on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Novak Djokovic and his girlfriend and the Executive Director of the Foundation, Jelena Ristic (wearing Wes Gordon ) both gave speeches on the ongoing projects and goals of their non-profit organization. The Foundation announced this morning the event raised $2,500,000 that will be used in accordance with its mission statement to: "provide encouragement and resources to young children so they can fulfil and nurture their dreams.". The dinner was attended by Naomi Campbell, Adriana Lima, Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn, Milutin Gatsby, Donna Karan, Tommy Hilfiger, Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe, among others. The highlight of our Labour Day trip to the NYC came on Monday night, after hours of rain delays, in the form on the Round of 16 match between Richard Gasquet and Milos Raonic on Court 17. Raonic led two sets to one, was up a break in the fourth set and later had a match point in the tiebreak, but the match ended up going the distance before Gasquet won 6-7 (4), 7-6 (4), 2-6, 7-6 (9), 7-5. Nova Djokovic (in UNIQLO) vs Joao Sousa , 6-0 6-2 6-2. Sadly, this was the only match we got to see while in NYC and my camera battery died soon after the warm up, so not too much variety here. I guess that was a message from the Tennis Gods to put the camera down, sit back and enjoy the beauty of Novak's game since the result was never in doubt. Photos from the Ana Ivanovic vs Christina McHale (both sponsored by adidas ) 3rd Round US Open match. Ivanovic won 4-6 7-5 6-4 and moved on to the next round to face Vikroria Azarenka. That match was scheduled on Monday, our last day at the Open, but due to the lenghty rain delay ended up being played the following day. As a result, these are the only photos of Ana we have.
